The Ridgway project involved a couple who blended their families after a second marriage. She moved into his home a few years ago and had a vision to modernize the kitchen and master bathroom, aiming for a spacious kitchen as she loves cooking. By day, she's a nurse who cherishes time with her family, baking for her grandchildren, and sharing new recipes. Health-conscious and eager to create memorable meals, she desired a home with a welcoming space for their children to gather during holidays.
They wanted to transform their master bathroom by opening up the cavernous shower with a new glass wall and adjusting the plumbing accordingly. We also upgraded their basic builder-grade closet with custom shoe shelves and a refreshed design throughout the house. Additionally, we converted an existing drop zone office nook near the garage into a practical pantry.
Despite the tired appearance, their house is in a fantastic location, and they were determined not to move or overspend on new construction for more space.
She had great ideas and a keen eye for design, but she also knew what was practical and impractical—specifically, where it made sense to spend money and where it didn’t. She had excellent subcontractors and maintained good working relationships with them. Organized, honest, and always on top of everything, she was a joy to work with.
